OUR MINISTRIES

There's much to like about St. John's and our service to the Lord. Below are a small sampling of our many ministries.

Holy Communion - The Lord's Supper

The Holy Communion represents the greatest expression of God’s love for His people. Two items are used in the Holy Communion—the bread which is Jesus’ body that was scourged and broken before and during His crucifixion, and the cup which is His shed blood.

All baptized believers, including guests, are invited to receive communion.

Men & Women's Groups

St. John's maintains active Men's Group which meet regularly for both social events and community service. These groups support several events each year including traditional dinners, Fausnacht festival, and Chicken BBQ. Come out and be surprised by the friendliness of our members.

Sunday School

Sunday School is held starting in the fall, right after the 9:00 AM service, See Reina Escolano or Alyssa Wisnosky for further info. All age groups are invited.

Music

Music is an important and uplifting

part of our worship service. Radio ministry and mini concerts also provide opportunities to enjoy and socialize through Christian music.

Our extraordinary Music Ministers are:

Marcia Cromwell, organ, and Stefanie Rybitski, soloist.

Community service

St. John's has been active in the Nanticoke Clergy Group sponsoring in the past, ecumenical services and events in the community. Our popular summer Ice cream social and mini concert is open to the community.

Our groups routinely reach out to our local library, fire department and garden clubs to offer help and support.
